The List: #1

Well, I'm trying out a new series-like thing here.  Every week or so I will make a 'list' and you can try to figure out what all the players on the list have in common.  So here's list number one:
  • Chad Pennington
  • Giovanni Carmazzi
  • Chris Redman
  • Tee Martin
  • Marc Bulger
  • Spergon Wynn
Have a guess?  Well, these are all the extremely talented quarterbacks drafted ahead of one named Tom Brady.  How this happens, I can't quite explain.  Every quarterback on the list has been at best mediocre, except for Bulger, who could also be considered a steal.  What to learn from this list; those draft experts and the NFL combine just can't explain everything. Sometimes college stats and how fast you can run the 40 doesn't define what you will become in the NFL.  Just ask Ryan Leaf.

Athletes if they Played the Joker

I just saw The Dark Knight and it was an amazing film. Heath Ledger truly did an awesome job as the joker. Since I was so illuminated by his character, I decided to see what it would look like if some of my favorite athletes  were the joker.

Brett Favre

David Beckham

Tom Brady

Chase Utley

Terrell Owens

Jay Cutler

Sidney Crosby

My List of Underrated NFL Players

Well, here's my well thought out (meaning I was bored with nothing better to do and spent ten minutes thinking of these players) list of some of the most underrated players in the NFL. If you agree or disagree just leave a comment. Chances are that I forgot a few. Let me know what you think.

Donovan McNabb - every year gets more and more underrated. 28 touchdowns was same as MVP hopeful Favre last year, and had half as many interceptions.

Roddy White - 1200 yards and 83 receptions pretty impressive for the QB problem in Atlanta. Could blossom as a star with Matt Ryan.

Jamal Lewis - 1300 yards on the ground. Only 5 runners had more last year. His 9 touchdowns puts him as an elite back.

Ben Roethlisberger - 32 touchdowns was third in the league. Second best passer rating behind Brady. Not as popular in fantasy leagues as he should be.

Patrick Crayton - 7 touchdowns and 700 yards is very good for the 3rd recieving option.

Bobby Engram - 94 receptions and 1140 yards. A great target who is unappreciated.

Derrick Mason - although aging, still manages to get 103 receptions and over 1000 yards receiving.

LenDale White - 1100 yards rushing and 7 touchdowns. Has been more productive running than Reggie Bush.

Kevin Curtis - 1100 yards and 6 touchdowns in a underachieving Eagles receiving corp.
